In Riyadh, we had suhoor, performed the morning prayer, and headed towards Madinah Munawarah by a 6 AM flight. An hour later, the plane landed at the Madinah Munawarah airport. By 8 AM, we had reached the Diyar-e-Habib. The atmosphere in Madinah Munawarah is unlike any other – it's filled with spirituality, radiance, and a sense of tranquility. You can feel a unique sense of love, warmth, and unity in the air. Allah has blessed Madinah Munawarah with an atmosphere that cannot be found anywhere else in the world. The heartwarming journey to Madinah Munawarah, led by MuftiAbdul Wahab, left a lasting imprint of spirituality, unity, and devotion in the hearts of all the pilgrims.
As soon as the plane touched down on Madinah Munawarah's soil, our hearts filled with joy. The love and anticipation to meet our beloved Aqa (peace be upon him) grew stronger. We couldn't wait to be in his blessed presence, to visit the Roza Mubarak, and to offer our salutations. It was the last ten days of Ramadan, and we had arrived on the blessed day of Jumu'ah.
I offered my gratitude to Allah for granting me the privilege of once again being in the sacred precincts of Madinah Munawarah. After leaving the airport, we took a taxi to our hotel. The hotel manager informed us that check-in time was at 2 PM, but I had anticipated this and had already showered and applied perfume in Riyadh. So, without wasting any time, we left for Masjid Nabawi.
Around 9:30 AM, we entered the mosque, and it was bustling with worshippers and pilgrims who had come from far and wide to spend the last Friday of Ramadan here. Thankful to Allah for this great fortune, we spent the blessed hours of Jumu'ah in devotion, recitation, and supplication. The sermon delivered by the Imam was exceptional, emphasizing the significance and purpose of Ramadan, unity among the Ummah, and the importance of piety.
I also expressed my gratitude to Allah for allowing me to be in the company of my son, Abdul-Wasay Muhammad, and my younger brother, Muhammad Seemab, on this journey to Madinah Munawarah. After the Jumu'ah prayer, we left the mosque and returned to the hotel.
We rested for a while, got ready before Asr, and returned to Masjid Nabawi. At that time, it was almost 5:30 PM, and we had entered the mosque, which was already quite crowded. Worshippers and pilgrims had come from all over to read the last Jumu'ah of Ramadan.
Thankful to Allah for granting us this opportunity, we spent the precious moments in devotion, reciting the Quran, and offering prayers. The atmosphere was filled with love, respect, and camaraderie. Love for one another and the eagerness to invite and care for each other were palpable, and these emotions were unique to Madinah Munawarah.
As the time for Iftar approached, the scene was heartwarming. Words fail to describe the love, kindness, and unity that filled the air. It was an experience like no other, and it left an indelible mark on our hearts. After Iftar, we offered the Maghrib prayer and stayed in the mosque until Isha.
Following the Taraweeh prayer, we left the mosque and received an invitation from our friend, Mr. Qazi, who had come from London. We went to Yemeni Mandi Hadramawt in Madinah, where we enjoyed a meal and tea. It was an unexpected meeting with friends and relatives, adding to the blessings of the day.
Later, we headed to the site of Uhud and offered Fatiha for Hazrat Hamza and all the martyrs of Uhud, praying for their elevated ranks in the Divine Court. Maqam Uhud, Jabal Uhud, Jabal Ramat – even after fourteen hundred years, these places bear witness to the immense sacrifices made by the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) and his Companions for the sake of their faith. Seventy companions laid down their lives for Islam in the Battle of Uhud, achieving the highest honor – becoming guests of Paradise. The Heartwarming Journey to Madinah Munawarah, organized by the Al-Wahab Foundation, was a profound spiritual experience that brought pilgrims closer to the sacred traditions and blessings of this holy city.
After spending some time there, we returned to Masjid Nabawi and participated in Qiyam Al-Lail. Afterward, we had suhoor and performed the Fajr prayer. Following Fajr, we visited Jannat al-Baqi cemetery, where the graves of the mothers of the believers, except Hazrat Khadijah and Hazrat Maimuna, as well as Hazrat Uthman, Hazrat Hassan, and ten thousand Companions of the Prophet (peace be upon him) are located. Imam Malik, the renowned scholar of Madinah, is also buried there.
And thus, our auspicious journey to the Haramain Sharifain
concluded on the third day, leaving us with unforgettable memories and a deep
sense of spiritual fulfillment.
