Heartwarming Journey to Madinah Munawarah - EPISODE 3

Our journey to Haramain Sharifain's second day began on a Saturday morning, a day associated with the Holy Prophet's (PBUH) visits to Masjid Quba from Madina. Following the Fajr prayer, we followed the Sunnah by going to Masjid Quba, where two rak’ahs of prayer are rewarded like an Umrah pilgrimage. Mufti Abdul Wahab led us on a heartwarming journey to Madinah Munawarah, filled with spiritual enrichment and cherished moments.

To fulfill this tradition, we left the Prophet’s Mosque after Fajr and noticed a massive crowd heading towards Masjid Quba, making it a longer taxi ride than usual due to Ramadan's busy streets. Once we arrived, we offered two rakats of Nawafil.

Located about three and a half kilometers from Madina, Masjid Quba holds a special place in history as the Prophet's first stop upon migrating. It was built upon the generous offer of Hazrat Kulsoom Bin Hadam, a leader of the Amr bin Auf tribe, who received the honor of hosting the Prophet.

Another notable house was "Bayt al-Azab," owned by Hazrat Saad bin Abi Khaytmah, which became a center of excitement and meetings for refugees without families.

Hazrat Ammar bin Yasir proposed building a mosque in Quba to the Holy Prophet, and Hazrat Kulsoom Bin Hadam gladly offered his land. The Prophet laid the foundation stone, followed by Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddique and Hazrat Umar, with others joining in to complete the construction.

After about an hour and a half at Masjid Quba, we returned to the hotel, rested briefly, prayed Dhuhr at Masjid Nabwi, and attended Darbar-e-Habib for Asr. Our intention was to sit near the spot where we could see the umbrellas of the Prophet's Mosque open and catch a glimpse of the Prophet's grave. However, we received a call from friends who had arrived earlier.

Despite the crowd, we joined them near the Prophet's shrine, engaging in dhikr and salutations. Memories of the Prophet filled our hearts, and we imagined him walking and talking in the mosque, surrounded by his companions.

Time passed unnoticed, and as we realized it was time for Iftar, we broke our fast, prayed Maghrib, and stayed until Isha. We then went to Yemeni Mandi Hadramawt with friends, enjoying food and tea. We also met many friends and relatives. Afterwards, we visited the site of Uhud, offering prayers for Hazrat Hamza and the martyrs of Uhud.

Maqam Uhud, Jabal Uhud, and Jabal Ramat bear witness to the sacrifices made by the Holy Prophet and his companions during the Battle of Uhud, where seventy companions gave their lives for Islam.

Returning to Masjid Nabwi, we participated in Qiyam Al-Laiyl, had suhoor, and prayed Fajr. To conclude the third day of our journey to Haramain Sharifain, we visited Jannat al-Baqi cemetery, the resting place for numerous revered figures, including mothers of the believers, Hazrat Uthman, Hazrat Hassan, and thousands of Companions. Muhaddith al-Madinah Imam Malik is also buried there. This marked the end of our memorable day.

Our heartwarming journey to Madinah Munawarah was made possible through the generous support of the Al-Wahab Foundation, leaving us with lasting memories of spiritual enlightenment and profound gratitude.
